Dean Potter:
Dean Potter, Lead Male Vocalist, has sung locally all of his life at church and social functions. Dean is a resident of Sandwich, Illinois, and comes from a musical family. Dean has been married to Glenda for 45 years. He has 3 sons, Mike, Matt and Jeremiah. Jeremiah died in 1985 at the age of 6 from cancer. Dean has 1 grandson and 2 granddaughters. Dean retired from Caterpillar after 35 years of service. Dean has sung in church choirs and many weddings over the years. Dean enjoys many pastimes including fishing, wild mushroom hunting and looking for Indian artifacts. Dean has a fantastic baritone voice and is a valuable asset to the Yorkville Big Band.
Anna Lawlor:
Previously known as the "karaoke queen" Anna Lawlor is new to performing live but brings with her the experience of generations of musical talent. Anna spent much of her life on the sidelines cheering on her musically gifted family as they sang and performed throughout the Chicagoland area. She finally found her voice during her undergrad career at Benedictine University where she was inspired to continue the family musical tradition. In 2009, Anna began performing with the Yorkville Big Band. Anna also performs with the band "Swing Assembly".
Carolyn Geraci:
Vocal major - Southwestern College, Kansas
Awarded 5 vocal scholarships
Performed with the "Singing Models" in the early 1970's
Performed weekly at the former "Sorini's Supper club in North Riverside.
Performed with a local Chicago band "Buzz Banana and the Bunch"
Guest vocalist for many of the churches in the Oak Park, River Forest area.
Gloria Van -- Gloria Van, Vocal Recording Artist, sang with the band since its conception. her career spanned over 60 years!...
Gloria Van passed away on Christmas Eve Day 2002. We miss her very much.
